The short version: we collect only what we need to run this site: your email if you join the list or write to us, and a name if you put a score on the PAO DASH leaderboard. We don’t sell your information, and this site doesn’t use cookies or advertising trackers. PAO may advertise on social media; section 8 explains what that means for you. You can ask us to see or delete your information any time at hi@drinkpao.com.

1. Who we are

This site, drinkpao.com, is run by Pao Brands Inc. (“PAO Energy,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

3. Information we collect

What you give us.

“Be a Pao buddy” signup (homepage): your email address, the time you signed up, and which version of the signup wording you saw.
Contact form (homepage): your email address, a subject and your message. Messages are stored on our system and also sent to our team inbox at hi@drinkpao.com.
PAO DASH leaderboard (drinkpao.com/play): if you save a score, the name you type (up to 12 characters) and the score. Names on the leaderboard are public, so please don’t use your real name or anything personal. To check that a score is genuine, your browser sends a record of the game’s button presses to our server, which replays it and then discards it. We keep only the name and score.

What we collect automatically.

Spam protection: to stop bots and floods of messages, we limit how often one visitor can use our forms. For that we keep a short-lived, scrambled (salted, one-way hashed) version of your internet (IP) address. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.
Basic visit statistics: we use a privacy-friendly analytics service to see how many people visit and how fast the site loads. It reports things like the page visited, referring site, browser, operating system, country and loading times. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. If you arrive from a link or ad, the address you came from, including any campaign tags in the link, is part of that.
Fonts: your browser loads our fonts from a third-party font service, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.

What we get from other places. Nothing, beyond what you tell us. If you message us on a social media platform, that platform shows us your username and message. We do not buy data about you or add information about you from other sources.

We do not collect your payment details, phone number, home address or precise location through this site, and we do not ask for any sensitive personal information.

4. How we use it

To run the site, the leaderboard and the forms, and to keep them working and secure.
To read and answer your messages.
To email you about PAO, if you joined the list (see section 7).
To block spam, fraud and abuse.
To understand how the site is used and make it faster and better.
To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not use your information to train AI models, and we do not make decisions about you with automated profiling.

5. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We use service providers to host the site, store its data, deliver email and measure how the site performs. They handle your information only to do that job for us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.

6. How long we keep it

Email list (“Be a Pao buddy” signups): until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
Contact messages: up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
Leaderboard: only the top scores are kept; lower scores drop off automatically. We will remove your name on request.
Spam-protection hashes: a few hours.

7. Marketing emails

We only email you about PAO if you joined through “Be a Pao buddy.” Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, or you can email hi@drinkpao.com and we will take you off the list.

8. Advertising and social media

On this site. We don’t show ads here, and we don’t currently use advertising cookies, pixels or similar trackers on drinkpao.com. That means we don’t tell advertising platforms what you do on our site.

On other platforms. PAO advertises, and may in the future advertise, on social media and other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, and links to our social accounts appear on this site. When you use those platforms or click one of our ads there, the platform collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy and controls what ads you see. You can manage ad personalization in each platform’s own settings. We may receive overall results from the platforms, such as how many people saw or clicked an ad, but not your identity.

If this changes. If we ever add advertising or measurement tools to this site (for example a Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or Google Ads tag), we will update this policy and the cookies section below before turning them on, describe what they collect and who receives it, and give you a clear way to opt out, including honoring browser signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. You can already limit ad targeting across the web through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s WebChoices tool (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org). Opting out does not stop ads from appearing, but they may be less relevant to you.

9. Cookies and what stays on your device

We do not set cookies. Your browser stores a few small settings on your own device so the site works the way you left it: your SOUND on/off choice, where the music was so it keeps playing as you move between pages, and the name and best score from your last PAO DASH game. You can clear these any time in your browser settings. They are not sent to us. Our service providers may also read basic information your browser sends with any web request, as described above.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
correct it,
delete it, or
stop emailing you.

Email hi@drinkpao.com from the address you used, and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm it is really you, and you can ask someone else to make a request for you. If we turn a request down, we will tell you why and how to appeal by replying to us. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and several other states) you may have these and other rights under your state’s privacy law, including the right to opt out of the sale of your information or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising, and we offer the choices above to everyone in the United States. Because we do not track you across other sites, there is nothing to switch off for “Do Not Track,” and we treat Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request.

11. Keeping your information safe

The site uses HTTPS, access to the stored data is limited to authorized people, and we keep only what we need. No website can promise perfect security, so please don’t send us anything sensitive through the Contact form.

12. Children

The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Where your information is processed

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using the site you understand your information may be handled there.

14. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
